MULTISHIV-D Product Tablets Strip + Carton

Overview

MULTISHIV-D — "Safeguard Your Diabetic Patient on Neuropathy" — is a comprehensive neurological micronutrient combination designed to revitalise the nerves and restore the life of patients suffering from peripheral neuropathy and nerve damage.

Each tablet provides five clinically proven active ingredients: Methylcobalamin 1500mcg (active B12), Alpha Lipoic Acid 100mg, Pyridoxine 3mg, Folic Acid 1.5mg, and Vitamin D3 1000IU — delivering comprehensive therapy for neuropathy and nerve regeneration, particularly in diabetic patients.

Indications

  • Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy — primary indication
  • Sciatica & Lower Back Pain with neurological involvement
  • Postherpetic Neuralgia (post-shingles nerve pain)
  • General Weakness & Fatigue — nutritional nerve support
  • Vitamin B12 deficiency (including metformin-induced depletion)
  • Peripheral neuropathies of various aetiologies

Mechanism of Action

Methylcobalamin 1500mcg (Active B12): The neurologically active coenzyme form of Vitamin B12 — directly participates in myelin sheath formation and axonal regeneration. Unlike cyanocobalamin, it bypasses the methylation conversion step, providing immediate neuroprotective action at the cellular level.

Alpha Lipoic Acid 100mg: A potent amphiphilic antioxidant active in both aqueous and lipid environments — scavenges reactive oxygen species, reduces oxidative nerve damage, and improves mitochondrial function in peripheral neurons.

Pyridoxine (B6) 3mg + Folic Acid 1.5mg: Essential co-factors in one-carbon metabolism, homocysteine remethylation, and neurotransmitter biosynthesis — supporting nerve cell health and reducing neurotoxic homocysteine levels.

Vitamin D3 1000IU: Supports neuromuscular junction function, immune modulation, and calcium homeostasis essential for nerve signal transmission.

Dosage & Administration

  • Adults: 1 tablet once or twice daily, or as directed by physician
  • Best taken with or after meals to enhance fat-soluble vitamin absorption
  • For B12 deficiency neuropathy: minimum 3-month course recommended
  • Elderly (>65 years): Once-daily dosing typically sufficient
  • Safe for long-term use at recommended doses

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation
  • Hypercalcaemia or hypervitaminosis D (avoid additional D3 supplementation without monitoring)
  • Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy (B12 supplementation may worsen)
  • Caution with concurrent anticoagulant therapy (B6 at high doses may affect platelet aggregation)
